I dream of walking your streets and learning your secret passageways. I dream of tasting your air and breathing your way of life. What happened to you was worse than terrible. Blood was splashed upon your ground and screams were heard. After the screaming stopped, you could still hear them echoing of fear through the chilling air. That night, the city of lights was no longer lit. Despite this, we see that the dark world has hope. The rest of the world helped ignite Paris again by providing lights of support and encouragement.
To the Parisians, I want to encourage you to live your lives. Don’t live in terror but overcome the fear with courage. Don’t let these attacks stop you from living your lives, and don’t let them prevent you from reaching your dreams. Don’t let terror freeze your time. Make the most of your time and treasure it because time is the most valuable thing in the world. It will never stop for you. It’s always moving, and you must move along with it.
No one can predict the future. But what I do know is that the future holds uncertainty. No one is sure of what is going to happen next. But, whatever it is, the rest of the world will be with you. We are all connected through empathy.
To the rest of the world, don’t be frightened by what happened to Paris. Continue to make the most of your time as well and don’t live in fear. Fear only makes things more difficult. The future is not dark or foggy but bright. As nice as it is to have support, we cannot stop fighting by promoting hatred or changing social media profile pictures. There is no way to stop it. So, I say to the Parisians and to the rest of the world, live as you have and the future will unfold itself to us. Whether good or bad, the clock will keep ticking and time will never stop.
